X Experiences Widespread Outage in the UAE and Globally

On Thursday, more than 1,000 users in the UAE experienced outages on the social networking platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

More than 1,000 users in the UAE encountered disruptions on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, on Thursday, December 21. Issues were reported starting at 9.15 am, affecting the ability to view tweets.

According to DownDetector, the platform has witnessed over 47,000 outage reports globally. Users worldwide reported difficulties accessing tweets and encountered a blank screen when viewing the timeline.

Service Restored After Outage Reports:

As of 11.02 am, Khaleej Times regained access to the X platform, indicating a service restoration after the reported outage. Users experienced issues ranging from the inability to view tweets to encountering error messages on the application.

The disruption was not confined to the UAE, with many users globally reporting similar issues. The outage impacted the functionality of the platform for users across different regions.
