Flydubai Triumphs as ‘Airline of the Year’ at Aviator Middle East Awards

Flydubai, the prominent Dubai-based carrier, secured the esteemed ‘Airline of the Year’ title at the prestigious Aviator Middle East Awards, formerly known as The Aviation Business Middle East Awards.

Daniel Kerrison, Senior Vice President of Inflight Operations at flydubai, accepted the accolade at a ceremonious event in Dubai, graced by esteemed personalities from the travel and aviation sectors.

Commendation for Unparalleled Service:

The award, adjudged by industry experts, acknowledges airlines demonstrating exceptional dedication to passenger satisfaction, safety, innovation, and operational excellence within the region. 

Flydubai earned this recognition for its unwavering commitment to elevating inflight experiences and operational efficiency and its pivotal role in enhancing the Middle East’s global connectivity and economic advancement.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at flydubai, expressed gratitude for the honor, emphasizing the carrier’s dedication to fostering accessible travel, supporting Dubai’s aviation hub, and pushing boundaries. 

He attributed the award to the collective efforts of the flydubai team, passengers, and stakeholders for their trust and support.

Expansion and Innovation:

Flydubai’s notable achievements in 2023 include the addition of over 20 destinations to its expanding network, with plans for upcoming launches in Kenya and Malaysia. 

The carrier, operating a young fleet of 84 Boeing 737 aircraft, continues to expand its global reach, emphasizing the recruitment of top talent to support this growth.

Milestones and Future Prospects:

At the Dubai Airshow, flydubai made significant announcements, including a substantial order for Boeing 787 Dreamliners, investments in training facilities and maintenance, and receiving a prestigious “Four-Star Major Airline” rating from the Airline Passenger Experience Association earlier in the year. 

These milestones underscore Flydubai’s commitment to innovation, growth, and excellence in the aviation industry.
