Seizure of Vehicles:

Dubai Police took action against hazardous driving during the UAE Union Day long weekend, seizing 94 vehicles and motorcycles. 

Instances of dangerous and reckless behavior were reported in Al Ruwayyah, Jumeirah, and residential areas, marking the country’s 52nd Union Day celebrations.

Traffic Menace Unveiled:

Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, Director of Dubai Police’s traffic department, highlighted the offenders’ engagement in reckless driving, unauthorized parades, road stunts, and disruptions in the emirate. Their actions included non-compliance with traffic regulations and disregarding police directives.

Alarming Behavior:

According to Maj Gen Al Mazrouei, some drivers not only engaged in dangerous stunts like drifting and doughnuts on roads but also obstructed traffic. Additionally, many had modified their vehicles illegally to increase noise levels, posing a further threat on the roads.

Visual Evidence:

Dubai Police shared a video showing drivers indulging in drifting and performing doughnuts, showcasing the alarming extent of these hazardous activities occurring in the midst of the city’s roads. These acts not only endangered lives but also disrupted normal traffic flow during the celebrations.
