Dubai Private Schools Rank Among World’s Top 10 in Mathematics

Dubai's private schools have established a substantial global presence in education, ranking among the top ten in the world in mathematics.

Dubai’s private schools have secured a significant global position in education, ranking among the world’s top 10 in mathematics, as unveiled in the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development’s (OECD) Programme for International Student Assessment (Pisa 2022).

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, shared this accomplishment proudly on X, acknowledging the efforts of the educational staff in achieving this milestone.

Pisa 2022 Results:

After evaluating 81 countries and regions worldwide, Dubai’s schools showcased remarkable progress in mathematics, rising from 34th place in 2015 to 9th globally, surpassing educational giants such as Canada, the UK, and Australia. 

Additionally, the emirate secured the 13th position for reading and the 14th for science in the Pisa rankings.

Education’s Impact on Quality of Life:

Highlighting the significance of education in enhancing the quality of life for citizens, residents, and families, Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that the current educational prowess would shape a successful future for subsequent generations.

The Dubai Crown Prince thanked the entire education sector and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) for their dedicated efforts, attributing this achievement to their commitment and diligence.

OECD’s Pisa Assessment:

The OECD’s Pisa assessment evaluates global education systems, specifically focusing on mathematics in 2022. 

The rankings are based on the evaluation of 15-year-old students’ skills and knowledge, highlighting Dubai’s exceptional performance and progress in the realm of education on an international scale.
