Dubai Civil Defence Partners with NFPA for Enhanced Fire Safety

Dubai Civil Defence and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), which is headquartered in the United States and is the world's largest fire safety organisation.

Dubai Civil Defence and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the world’s largest fire safety organization headquartered in the US, have signed a collaboration agreement. 

The strategic partnership aims to elevate fire safety standards, showcasing the Dubai Civil Defence as a global leader in state-of-the-art life and property protection systems.

Distinguished Presence and Global Model:

Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management, attended the signing ceremony, reinforcing the significance of this partnership. 

The Dubai Civil Defence aspires to serve as a model for global implementation, emphasizing the importance of advanced fire safety systems.

Applause for Innovative AI Adoption:

Jim Pauley, President and CEO of NFPA, commended Dubai Civil Defence’s exceptional security and safety protocols, particularly their innovative use of artificial intelligence (AI) in operational practices. 

The agreement paves the way for continuous knowledge exchange, fostering regional and global partnerships and upholding the shared commitment to advancing best practices in fire safety.

Distinguished Appointments Recognize Local Talent:

During his visit to the department’s headquarters, it was announced that Major Issa Ahmed Al Mutawa had been appointed the President of the Advisory Committee and a judge in the Arbitration Committee for the International Security and Safety Exhibition. 

Aliya Omar bin Touq, a specialist in information security, was named vice president of the advisory committee. 

These appointments underscore the contributions of the Emirati workforce to global endeavors and recognize their competence and talent across various sectors.
