As the UAE gears to celebrate its 52nd National Day, Umm Al Quwain authorities have introduced a beneficial incentive for residents.
The General Command of Umm Al Quwain Police recently revealed a groundbreaking initiative offering a 50% discount on all traffic violations committed within the emirate before November 1, 2023.
Discount Details and Duration:
The initiative, set to commence on December 1, 2023, and extend until January 7, 2024, encompasses various violations, allowing individuals to rectify their infractions at a reduced cost.
However, it’s important to note that this discount excludes severe infractions to maintain public safety and security.
Promoting Compliance and Addressing Concerns:
The primary objective behind this discount is to foster a culture of compliance with traffic regulations and to motivate individuals to address any pending violations within this specific timeframe.
By offering this limited-time benefit, authorities aim to encourage responsible driving practices and promote a safer road environment.
While the discount encompasses many violations, certain severe infractions remain ineligible for this benefit. These exclusions include:
- Driving in a manner that endangers lives, safety, or public/private facilities.
- Violations involving heavy vehicles overtaking red lights.
- Overtaking red lights by light vehicles or motorcycles.
- Exceeding the maximum speed limit by more than 80 km/h.
- Unauthorized modifications to vehicle engines or base “chassis” without a license.
This initiative is a proactive step by Umm Al Quwain authorities to incentivize compliance and ensure road safety.
By offering this discount; they aim to motivate individuals to rectify their violations while contributing to a safer and more responsible driving culture within the emirate.
