UAE Ministry of Education and e& Partner to Foster Digital-First Education

The UAE Ministry of Education and e& have collaborated to instill a digital-first mentality in pupils through the use of next-generation digital tools.

The UAE Ministry of Education and e& (formerly Etisalat Group) have joined forces to cultivate a digital-first mindset among students by incorporating next-generation digital tools, including artificial intelligence (AI), into schools.

Memorandum of Understanding:

During Gitex Global 2023, a significant memorandum of understanding (MoU) was inked to develop and provide cutting-edge computer science education while seamlessly integrating AI tools and mechanisms into the educational sector.

A Vision for Global Digital Education Leadership:

Dena AlMansoori, the group’s Chief Human Resources Officer at e&, emphasized the partnership’s role in positioning the UAE as a global head in digital education. 

She highlighted previous collaborations, including work with Code.org, which laid the foundation for this transformative initiative.

AlMansoori stressed that this partnership extends beyond merely integrating technology into education. 

It seeks to instill a digital-first mindset among students, fostering a culture of innovation and adaptability.

Key Signatories of the MoU:

The MoU was signed by Mohammed Al Ali, Director of the Information Technology Department at the Ministry of Education, and Dena AlMansoori in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Al Mualla, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Academic Affairs, and Hatem Dowidar, Group Chief Executive Officer at e&.

This collaboration signifies a significant step toward advancing education in the UAE, leveraging AI and innovative digital tools to prepare students for a future shaped by technology and innovation.
