UAE Establishes Field Hospital in Gaza as Part of ‘Gallant Knight 3’

A substantial Emirati field hospital is being created in the Gaza Strip under the direction of the UAE President.

Under the guidance of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a significant Emirati field hospital is being established in the Gaza Strip, aimed at providing crucial medical assistance to Palestinians in need.

‘Gallant Knight 3’ Humanitarian Operation:

This initiative is a crucial component of the ‘Gallant Knight 3’ humanitarian operation, which was ordered by the UAE Ruler, signaling the country’s strong commitment to supporting the Palestinian people.

Five aircraft departed from Abu Dhabi International Airport, transporting essential equipment and supplies for the field hospital. The cargo will be received at Al-Arish Airport in Egypt before being transported to the Gaza Strip.

Multi-Department Field Hospital:

The field hospital will have a 150-bed capacity and be established in multiple stages.

It will include specialized departments for general surgery, orthopedics, pediatrics, and gynecology, as well as anesthesia and intensive care units catering to children and adults.

Comprehensive Medical Services:

The facility will deliver various medical services, including internal medicine, dentistry, psychiatry, family medicine, CT imaging, a laboratory, a pharmacy, and various medical support functions.

This initiative underscores the UAE’s longstanding commitment to support and stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people, especially during the current challenging circumstances.

Previous Aid and Initiatives:

In addition to the field hospital, the UAE has announced $20 million in urgent aid for the Palestinian people.

The country has also initiated a program to bring nearly 1,000 Palestinian children from the Gaza Strip, along with their families, for medical treatment at UAE hospitals.

To further aid Palestinians affected by the ongoing conflict, the UAE has launched a community relief campaign under the ‘Compassion for Gaza.’
