UAE Coastal Areas on Alert, NCM Issues Rainfall Warnings

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has given yellow and orange alerts for convective clouds and rainfall over coastal areas and certain internal regions in the UAE today.
The alert, covering parts of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and other emirates, is in effect until 8.30 pm tonight.
Flash Flood Warning:
Residents are cautioned about flash floods in eastern regions, emphasizing the importance of avoiding these areas.
Abu Dhabi Police issued warnings via social media, urging motorists to exercise caution and observe changing speed limits displayed on electronic signs.
Thunder and Rainfall Reports:
Some residents reported hearing thunder in the morning, with videos of rain in Sharjah and Ajman circulating on social media platforms, including the Storm Centre handle.
Temperatures are expected to drop to 26°C in Abu Dhabi and 27°C in Dubai, while mountainous regions could experience a significant drop to 16°C.
Sea Conditions:
Sea conditions are predicted to be moderate to rough intermittently off the Arabian Gulf coast and slight to moderate in the Oman Sea.
Residents are advised to stay updated on weather alerts and exercise caution while traveling, especially in areas prone to flooding.
