UAE and South Korea Expand Air Travel Cooperation

The UAE and South Korea have announced plans to increase the number of flights between the two countries to meet the growing travel demand.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the UAE and South Korea to strengthen bilateral air transport relations, increasing the number of national carrier flights connecting the two nations.
Boost in Weekly Flights:
Thanks to this partnership, 21 national carrier flights will operate between the UAE and South Korea every week, providing more travel options for passengers.
The MoU resulted from discussions held in Seoul on October 12 and 13 with representatives from both countries’ aviation sectors.
Omar Bin Ghaleb, deputy director-general of the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), led the UAE’s delegation and signed the MoU with Young Kwok-kim, director-general of the Korean Civil Aviation Authority.
Positive Impact on Both Economies:
Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, director-general of the GCAA, emphasized the positive impact of the MoU on both countries’ economies.
He stated that the strengthened air transport services would enhance economic and tourism cooperation between the UAE and South Korea, reinforcing the strong relations under their strategic partnership.
Bin Ghaleb added, “The result was an agreement to enhance air traffic by increasing the number of weekly flights between the two countries,” showcasing the commitment to fostering better connectivity and cooperation in air travel.
