UAE and Bosnia and Herzegovina Ink Visa-Free Travel Agreement

By signing a Memorandum of Understanding on visa exemption, the UAE and Bosnia & Herzegovina have strengthened their bilateral relations.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bosnia and Herzegovina have solidified their bilateral relations by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on visa exemption. 

This significant agreement, inked on November 6, 2023, is set to foster closer ties, facilitating travel, trade, and people-to-people exchanges between the two nations.

Visa-Free Travel for Citizens:

As a result of the MoU, citizens of both the UAE and Bosnia and Herzegovina holding valid passports will now enjoy visa-free travel for various purposes, including tourism, business, and short-term visits. 

This exemption is expected to promote cultural understanding, boost economic collaboration, and enhance tourism between the two countries.

Key Signatories:

The MoU was signed by Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation of the UAE, and Elmedin Konaković, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

The signing ceremony was attended by Zlatan Burzić, the Director of the Bosnian Minister of Foreign Affairs office, and Mirela Bubalo, Counsellor for the Bosnian Minister of Foreign Affairs. 

Both parties emphasized the pivotal role of the MoU in strengthening their bilateral relations.
