Humanitarian Initiative Provides Clean Drinking Water in Amdjarass City

In a significant humanitarian effort, a UAE aid team operating in Chad has successfully inaugurated a second well in Amdjarass city. 

This initiative is part of a broader project aimed at providing access to clean drinking water for the local population.

Completion of Well Drilling and Equipment 

Preparation

The UAE aid team meticulously completed the drilling process and readied all necessary equipment for a 180-meter well. 

This newly established well is equipped with pumps and generators, ensuring efficient water supply to the region.

Addressing Water Scarcity in Kogo Region

The inaugurated well is one of several planned for the area, all designed to alleviate the pressing issue of clean water scarcity. 

It is expected to provide over 200 liters of potable water per hour to the residents of four villages located in the Kogo region. 

This vital water source is a critical step in mitigating the challenges faced by the local population due to the shortage of clean water.

Collaborative Humanitarian Effort

The inauguration of the well was attended by representatives of various UAE humanitarian organizations, including the Emirates Red Crescent, the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, and the Office for the Co-ordination of Foreign Aid. 

This collaborative effort demonstrates the UAE’s commitment to making a positive impact on communities in need, transcending borders to address the essential issue of clean water access.
