Novel Collaboration for Sustainable Biochar

A pioneering collaboration in Dubai has initiated large-scale production of biochar derived from camel dung. 

Biochar, a substance akin to charcoal, is obtained through the thermal conversion of organic matter, like animal waste, offering significant enhancements to soil quality for agricultural purposes.

Dubai’s Unique Initiative

Viqa Investment, a German company based in Dubai, has revealed its partnership with the Emirates Factory for the Production of Camel Milk and Its Derivatives (Camelicious) to inaugurate the production of industrial-grade biochar. 

This innovative venture marks the UAE’s maiden foray into utilizing camel waste for biochar production, presenting a distinctive sustainable solution for the region.
