Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) has demonstrated their prowess in London derbies this season, with their only dropped points coming against Arsenal and Brentford. 

However, their performance against Fulham showcased their consistent control and dominance.

Captain Son’s Brilliance

In the 36th minute, Captain Son exhibited his brilliance by curling in an excellent goal. 

This moment of skill came after Calvin Bassey’s errant pass was intercepted by Micky van de Ven. Son seized the opportunity, ensuring Spurs took an early lead.

Maddison’s Double Strike

James Maddison doubled the lead for Spurs in the second half, mirroring Son’s success with a nearly identical goal. 

Once again, a Bassey pass was intercepted, and Son orchestrated the setup, allowing the England playmaker to confidently slot the ball home.

Fulham’s Resilience

Fulham had their moments, with Joao Palhinha coming close to scoring, forcing an impressive stop from Guglielmo Vicario with a header from a corner. However, their efforts were not enough to turn the tide in their favor.

Impressive Start for Spurs

Tottenham’s strong start under manager Ange Postecoglou was evident from the beginning of the game. The team exuded confidence and maintained control throughout, further solidifying their position in the league.
