DiCaprio expressed his gratitude, acknowledging Stone’s advocacy for fellow actors and her instrumental role in kickstarting his career.

In a conversation with E! News, DiCaprio recounted that Stone insisted on having him as one of the actors in the film. 

Stone was determined to work with DiCaprio and, facing resistance from the studio, went above and beyond by using her salary to secure his involvement in the project.

Sharon Stone previously detailed the incident in her memoir, “The Beauty of Living Twice.” She explained that DiCaprio was the standout performer during auditions, and when the studio objected, she covered his salary to ensure he was cast.
