Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Dubai Police General HQ are joining forces to expand the Traffic Incident Management Unit project across the city. The initiative aims to enhance road safety, minimize traffic congestion, and expedite the clearance of vehicles involved in accidents.

Dubai, UAE – March 17, 2024: In a strategic move to improve road safety and traffic flow, the RTA and Dubai Police announce the expansion of the Traffic Incident Management Unit project. By the end of 2024, the project will cover four additional main road corridors, increasing the coverage from 13 to 17 traffic corridors and streets, totaling 951 km in both directions.

Importance of the Project: The expansion aligns with the RTA’s mission to minimize secondary accidents and enhance traffic flow, following global best practices. His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Director General of the RTA, emphasizes the project’s aim to provide exceptional services to motorists, including addressing vehicle breakdowns and managing accident scenes swiftly.
