WeProtect Global Alliance’s Disturbing Findings

The report, conducted by the WeProtect Global Alliance, a global organization that assesses threats to young people and online trends, paints a troubling picture. 

Since 2019, there has been an 87 percent increase in reported child sexual abuse material cases worldwide, reflecting the growing danger.

Swift Development of High-Risk Grooming Situations

The report’s experts emphasize that high-risk grooming situations between adults and children develop rapidly, with an average grooming time of a mere 45 minutes. 

This quick progression is deeply concerning and underscores the need for swift intervention and awareness.

The surge in reported incidents can be largely attributed to the surging popularity of online gaming platforms in recent years.
