President Sheikh Mohamed Holds Talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan

President Sheikh Mohamed met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to discuss humanitarian measures.

President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Hakan Fidan, the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Turkey, to discuss efforts to bolster the humanitarian response for civilians affected by the crisis in the Gaza Strip. 

The discussions were particularly relevant in light of the critical developments in the region.

Warm Greetings Exchanged:

During the meeting, Minister Fidan conveyed the warm greetings of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to President Sheikh Mohamed, expressing his best wishes for the continued improvement and prosperity of the UAE. 

President Sheikh Mohamed extended his heartfelt greetings to President Erdoğan, extending well wishes for Turkey’s advancement.

De-escalation and Civilian Protection:

The discussions between President Sheikh Mohamed and the Turkish Foreign Minister encompassed regional and international efforts to promote de-escalation and protect the lives of civilians. 

Protecting civilian populations’ safety and humanitarian needs in Gaza were highlighted as priorities.

Supporting Humanitarian Organizations:

Both leaders emphasized the significance of supporting humanitarian organizations to promptly and safely address the growing humanitarian needs in Gaza. 

They underscored the importance of unhindered relief and medical aid delivery to affected civilians.

Pursuing a Just and Comprehensive Peace:

The discussion’s central theme was the need for the international community to take responsibility for achieving a just, comprehensive, and stable peace in the Middle East. 

This approach was critical in securing a safe future for the region’s inhabitants while maintaining regional security and peace.

President Sheikh Mohamed and the Turkish Foreign Minister explored opportunities for cooperation and joint efforts between the UAE and Turkey, further solidifying the diplomatic ties between the two nations.

The meeting included the presence of prominent figures, including Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Ministry of Presidential Court.
