NYU Abu Dhabi graduate awarded prestigious Rhodes Scholarship for Oxford University

Lebanon-born Tatiana Houhou was granted the first scholarship in Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine province.

Tatiana Houhou, a graduate of New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD), has secured the prestigious Rhodes Scholarship to pursue further studies at Oxford University starting in September of the following year. Notably, she marks a significant milestone as the first recipient from the Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine region to be granted this esteemed scholarship.

At 23 years old, Tatiana Houhou stands as the third non-Emirati Rhodes scholar in the history of NYUAD. Her academic journey includes the completion of a BA in Biology in 2022 at NYUAD, where she has been actively engaged as a research assistant in the Magzoub Lab.
