In the current year alone, the fund has extended support to 183 conservation projects across approximately 65 countries. These projects have focused on safeguarding some of the planet’s most imperiled species, demonstrating a profound commitment to global biodiversity.

One striking success story involves the Emirati leaf-toed gecko, the Asaccus caudivolvulus. Initially presumed to teeter on the brink of extinction, a groundbreaking expedition unearthed 52 of these critically-endangered geckos thriving along the UAE’s east coast, despite significant development in the region.
