In a bid to promote tourism, Iran has introduced a visa-free travel policy for citizens of over 30 countries worldwide. Notable countries included in this initiative are Gulf nations such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Oman, alongside citizens from India, Brazil, and Indonesia, among others.

Ministerial Announcement

Ezzatollah Zarghami, the Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, announced the Iranian Cabinet’s decision to unilaterally waive visa requirements for visitors from 33 additional countries. The move, aimed at facilitating easier access for tourists, was reported by the state-run news agency IRNA.

This strategic decision to eliminate visa requirements for a range of nations signifies Iran’s proactive steps towards stimulating its tourism sector.
