Concerned residents stumbled upon this tragic scene, leading to a rescue operation to save the surviving felines and a call for accountability for the abandonment of these animals.
Residents of Al Falah were met with a heart-wrenching sight on Friday morning as they encountered scores of cats desperately searching for food and water. This alarming discovery drew attention to the dire situation these animals were facing.
Dedicated rescuers stepped in to assist the distressed cats. Miraculously, 90 of them were able to survive, with some finding refuge in nearby communities. However, the toll was grim, with at least 62 cats tragically losing their lives in these harsh conditions.
