Industrialist Career Exhibition in Abu Dhabi Attracts Over 3,000 Emirati Jobs

Abu Dhabi sponsored a landmark three-day Industrialist Career Exhibition, the region's first of its kind.

Abu Dhabi hosted a groundbreaking three-day Industrialist Career Exhibition, a first of its kind in the region.

It offered more than 3,000 Emirati youth the chance to be interviewed for 500 job openings at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre.

Youth from across the UAE were granted on-the-spot interviews for immediate hiring, as well as direct employment and training prospects at over 73 companies and institutions in the country’s advanced industry and technology sectors.

Collaborative Effort with Key Ministries and Entities:

The exhibition was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis), the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), and ADNOC Group.

The inaugural exhibition showcased career opportunities in defense, agricultural technology, food and beverage, electric and hybrid vehicles, service, oil and gas, packaging, advanced industries, construction, real estate, conformity and standardization, and more.

Promoting the National In-Country Value Program:

The event aimed to foster collaboration with both public and private sector entities in the UAE, with a particular emphasis on promoting interest in the national in-country value (ICV) program, along with its incentives and enablers.

Omar Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of MoIAT, highlighted that the exhibition aligns with the ministry’s strategic goals to bolster the industrial sector, enhance its competitiveness, and amplify its contribution to economic diversification and sustainable development.

Investment in Local Talent:

Emphasizing the priority of investing in local talent and enhancing their professional capabilities, Al Suwaidi stressed the importance of the event in educating young Emiratis about the significance of the national industrial sector and the myriad career development opportunities available.

The ministry pledged to continue launching similar initiatives to increase the participation of Emirati talent in the industrial and advanced technology sectors, particularly within the private sector.

The goal is to bridge the gap between national talent and industry requirements.

Encouraging Emirati Youth Participation:

Al Suwaidi urged Emirati youth to engage with the ministry’s programs and initiatives, which are conducted in partnership with strategic collaborators.

These initiatives aim to enhance the competitiveness of the national industrial sector and unlock growth and development prospects.
