The first phase of the “Pulse of Alkhobar” project has been released as a part of plans to broaden and included cultural centre in the heart of the metropolis and transform the Eastern Province’s arts scene. The project follows calls to use structure experts, social media activists, and artists to collaborate across more than one sector to reinforce the province’s cultural effect. According to Culture Minister Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, the project, centred on the metropolis’s old market, is the fruit of a partnership among the ministry and its municipal and rural affairs counterpart. Acting Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs Majid Al-Hogail stated that the project would construct an artistic and heritage vacation spot to enhance the lives of citizens of Alkhobar governorate and visitors to the Eastern Province. The project will help define the region’s way of life and beautify its function as a tourist vacation spot, he added. Abdulhadi Al-Shammari, the province’s municipal chairman, advised Arab News that the brand new undertaking may enhance offerings at municipal facilities, even retaining Saudi background and way of life.

Al-Shammari added: “The Saudi authorities help all sectors assist them in delivering profitable investment possibilities and construct a conducive environment for nearby and foreign funding, in which new activity possibilities are created for younger guys and women.” Faisal Al-Fadl, secretary-popular of the Saudi Green Building Forum, advised Arab News that developing a cultural and arts vacation spot open to various activities will add to the metropolis’s tourist appeal. Maysoon Abu Baker, a Saudi poet and columnist, stated the Saudi authorities attach excellent significance to tradition and heritage. “Vision 2030 emphasized the importance of the way of life existent in old towns,” she advised Arab News. “Arts, way of life and background are on the top of the agenda for growing towns and retaining their way of life. The cultural effect is vital for the destiny of the Kingdom. It is associated with its history.” Yousef Al-Harbi, director of Culture and Arts Society in Dammam, stated that the partnership would lead to “new visible perceptions highlighting the Saudi, Arabian and Islamic identity.” He highlighted the significance of nurturing Saudi art and architectural talent, and facilitating cooperation to “carry out the splendour of Saudi heritage and towns.”
