Erdogan Vows Gaza Reconstruction Amid Ceasefire Talks

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has committed to lead efforts to rebuild Gaza's infrastructure, hospitals, and schools.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan pledged to spearhead the reconstruction of Gaza’s infrastructure, hospitals, and schools in the event of a ceasefire with Israel.

Erdogan’s announcement followed talks in Berlin with German leaders.

Erdogan urged Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu to disclose information regarding Israel’s alleged possession of nuclear weapons.

He emphasized the need for transparency, suggesting inspections to verify Israel’s nuclear arsenal to avert potential consequences.

Diplomatic Intervention and Intelligence Involvement:

Amid Israeli-Hamas tensions, Erdogan disclosed that families of Israeli hostages held by Hamas had requested Turkish intervention.

As reported by Reuters, Turkey’s intelligence agency was reportedly activated to investigate the situation.

Previously, Erdogan had categorized Hamas as a liberation group rather than a terrorist organization, defending their struggle as resistance for land and people.

He criticized the West’s support for Israel’s actions, condemning it as hypocritical.

Strong Condemnation of Israeli Actions:

Turkey’s Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, denounced Israel’s conduct in Gaza as a “crime against humanity.” Fidan condemned the targeting of Palestinian civilians, including vulnerable groups, in places like schools, hospitals, and mosques.

The conflict persists as Israel continues extensive bombing in Gaza City, resulting in widespread destruction.

The casualties on both sides—1,200 Israelis and over 12,000 in Gaza—have predominantly comprised civilians, intensifying concerns about the humanitarian impact amid escalating violence.
