Hazard’s Stint at Real Madrid

Eden Hazard, aged 32, made a high-profile move from Chelsea to Real Madrid in 2019 for a transfer fee of £89 million. However, his time at the Spanish club was marred by injuries, limiting him to just 54 appearances in La Liga. 

Hazard departed Real Madrid at the conclusion of the previous season.

During his tenure with Chelsea, Eden Hazard secured two Premier League titles, leaving an indelible mark on the English top-flight.

Knowing When to Stop

In a reflective statement, Hazard shared his perspective on the importance of recognizing when it’s time to step away from professional sports. He has been without a club since his contract with Real Madrid was terminated in June.

“After 16 years and more than 700 matches played, I have decided to end my career as a professional footballer,” Hazard declared, offering insight into his decision to retire from the sport.
