The Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) has unveiled an exciting line-up of over 70 exhibitions, conventions, and conferences for the first half of 2024, reinforcing its status as a premier hub for business and tourism. These events, taking place across DWTC and Dubai Exhibitions Centre (DEC) at Expo City Dubai, span diverse sectors like healthcare, food, energy, tourism, transport, and technology.

A Platform for Global Business and Innovation

The DWTC is gearing up for an eventful year with a focus on growth and expansion. According to Mahir Abdulkarim Julfar, Executive Vice President at DWTC, 2024 is a pivotal year. The introduction of new exhibitions such as FESPA Middle East and the return of legacy events like Arab Health, Gulfood, and Arabian Travel Market underscore Dubai’s ambition to be a leading global business and tourism destination.

The DWTC events cater to a broad range of industries. For instance, DUPHAT, one of the largest pharmaceutical events in the Middle East and Africa, welcomed 1,147 companies from 82 countries last year, with deals totaling AED 6.12 billion. Similarly, Arab Health Exhibition and Congress, a legacy event in healthcare, contributed to US$1.81bn of business on its show floor last year.

Gulfood, a leading event in the food and beverage industry, is another flagship event of DWTC, showcasing the latest trends and innovations. The Hotel Show, focusing on the booming hospitality industry, and GISEC, a major cybersecurity event, highlight the diversity of the DWTC’s agenda.
