Dubai Ride Returns for Its Fourth Edition as a Key Event of Dubai Fitness Challenge

The Dubai Ride, presented by DP World, is set to return for its fourth edition, making it a prominent event of the Dubai Fitness Challenge.
The event will occur on November 12, offering participants two route options: a 12 km course along Sheikh Zayed Road and a 4 km family-friendly route on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard.
Scenic 12 km Sheikh Zayed Road Course:
The 12 km route, designed for more experienced cyclists, spans from the Dubai World Trade Centre to Safa Park. It includes a picturesque climb over the Dubai Canal Bridge.
Five starting gates are located at strategic points along the route: the Museum of the Future, Business Bay, Al Satwa, the Coca-Cola Arena, and the Lower Financial Centre.
Family-Friendly 4 km Downtown Route:
The 4 km route along Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard is a family-friendly option that allows riders of every age and skill level to cycle past iconic landmarks, including the Dubai Mall, Dubai Opera, and Burj Khalifa.
This route starts at the Dubai Mall and is known for its flat terrain, ensuring a pleasant ride for all participants.
Registration for the Dubai Ride is now open on the official website. The event welcomes riders of all fitness levels and abilities, aiming to create a community among participants.
In 2022, the Dubai Ride recorded its highest-ever participation, with 34,897 cyclists coming together to celebrate health and fitness.
Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC):
Dubai Ride, presented by DP World, is a highlight of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC), an initiative launched in 2017 to encourage daily physical activity.
The challenge, championed by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, seeks to change Dubai into one of the world’s most active cities.
A Symbol of Commitment to Health and Fitness:
Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), emphasized that Dubai Ride symbolizes the city’s unwavering commitment to health and fitness.
The event experienced record-breaking participation in 2022, highlighting its significance in promoting an active and healthy lifestyle.
Global Promotion of Active Lifestyle:
Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council, noted that Dubai Ride attracts cycling enthusiasts from diverse backgrounds and nationalities.
The event is a platform for capturing memorable moments and promoting a healthy, active, and joyful lifestyle, with participants sharing their experiences globally.
