Dubai International Airport (DXB), the world’s busiest international hub, made headlines as it hosted its first-ever iftar event on the runway. The initiative, organized by airport staff of diverse nationalities, aimed to promote unity and cultural understanding during the holy month of Ramadan.

In a heartwarming display of camaraderie, employees from various backgrounds came together to set up a traditional iftar table on the tarmac against the backdrop of departing and arriving planes. Dubai International Airport, known for its exceptional connectivity, welcomed 86.9 million passengers last year and is projected to receive 88.8 million passengers this year. The airport’s extensive network connects it to 262 destinations across 104 countries, served by 102 international carriers.
