Dubai Duty Free Named ‘Best Global Partner’ by Trip.com Group

Trip.com Group granted Dubai Duty Free the title of "Best Global Partner" at the Global Partner Summit.

Dubai Duty Free, renowned for its exceptional service, has added another prestigious accolade to its collection by being awarded the title of “Best Global Partner” by Trip.com Group at the Global Partner Summit held at Resorts World Singapore – Convention Centre.

Celebrating Outstanding Performance and Partnership:

The Global Partner Summit, organized by Trip.com Group, welcomed participants from various sectors within the travel industry, including hotels, airlines, and destination marketing partners. 

Dubai Duty Free’s exceptional performance and strategic partnership with Ctrip, a company under Trip.com Group, earned them this prestigious recognition.

Importance of the Award:

Colm McLoughlin, Executive Vice Chairman & CEO of Dubai Duty Free, expressed delight at receiving the “Best Global Partner” award from Trip.com Group. 

He emphasized the significance of being selected as one of Ctrip’s most outstanding global partners outside China, underscoring the importance of Chinese travelers to Dubai Duty Free’s business.

Dubai Duty Free’s Partnership with Ctrip:

Dubai Duty Free’s collaboration with Ctrip began in 2016 during ‘Dubai Week in China’ when they signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). 

Subsequently, in 2018, they entered into a master agreement as a strategic partner. 

Since then, Dubai Duty Free has deepened its integration with Ctrip, aligning marketing plans and expanding its reach to Chinese customers.

A Significant Step for Trip.com Group:

As the tourism industry gradually recovers and grows, Trip.com Group has taken a significant step towards its “Local Focus, Global Vision” strategy by hosting the Global Partner Summit abroad for the first time. 

This move reflects the company’s ambitious outlook for the inbound and outbound tourism industry and reaffirms its commitment to enhancing the growth of global partners.
