Dubai Billionaire Al Habtoor Extends Gaza Humanitarian Aid

Billionaire Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor has announced a significant donation to Gaza in a compassionate gesture.

Dubai billionaire Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, founder and chairman of Al Habtoor Group, has made a heartfelt gesture by announcing a substantial donation to Gaza.

The initiative involves providing fully equipped ambulances with cutting-edge medical technology to bolster the healthcare infrastructure in the region.

Humanitarian Support:

The first batch of these life-saving vehicles was delivered to the Palestinian Red Crescent in Gaza through the Egyptian Rafah crossing by Islam Kamal Ghoneim, CEO of Al Habtoor Group in Egypt.

This contribution arrives at a critical juncture as Gaza copes with the consequences of the conflict between Israel and Hamas, which has resulted in over 14,800 casualties, including women and children.

UAE’s Commitment:

Parallelly, the UAE government has reinforced its commitment to aiding Gaza by commissioning a field hospital in the region to provide vital medical assistance to Palestinians.

The UAE has flown in injured Palestinians for medical services and plans to bring in 1,000 children injured in the conflict and 1,000 cancer patients for further treatment, in line with directives from the UAE President.

Beyond medical support, the UAE has announced plans to build three desalination plants and supply essential aid, including food, medical supplies, and other necessities to assist the war-affected people of Palestine.

Al Habtoor’s Ongoing Philanthropy:

Khalaf Al Habtoor’s commitment to aiding Palestinians extends to various initiatives in the past, including support to UNRWA, employment for Palestinian refugees in Syria, and donations for peace efforts in the Middle East.

Additionally, his previous philanthropic efforts include backing female Afghan students in Dubai following restrictions on female education in Afghanistan imposed by the Taliban.
